ATTENTION: PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU LIKE THE BAND CITY AND COLOUR

Just because I have plenty of it to throw around, I went and used my muscle last night as a security guard for the City and Colour concert here in Saskatoon.  Basically all they asked of me was to make sure nobody went backstage, on the stage, used a professional camera to take pictures, smoked, drank, or got out of control.  So the only excitement I got was some chick taking pics with this massive camera front row center.  The rule with these professional cameras was if you saw someone taking pictures, they had to take the camera to their car.  I approached the girl who was taking a picture almost every 2 seconds with a flash that was crazy bright.  I said "no pictures" and walked back to my seat.   About 10 minutes later she comes up to me for a little chat.  The conversation is as follows, oh and one more thing, everything she said was in that annoying know it all, emo, suburb, snob, girl voice.  

Annoying Emo Chick - "So you are telling me we aren't allowed to take pictures?"

Muscular Security Guard (Me) - "Not with professional cameras"

Annoying Emo Chick - "Why"

Me - "Because the band said so"

Emo - "I don't see the problem"

Me - "You are taking a picture every 2 seconds"

Emo - "Im not using a flash"

Me - "Yes you are"

Emo - "What if I dont use my flash then"

Me - "No professional cameras allowed, flash or no flash"

Emo - "Then give me batteries for my other camera"

Me - "I dont have batteries,  use your friends camera"

Emo - "Sorry for being such a stupid emo whore"

Me - "Whore"

So thats how it went down, the last 2 lines may have been made up but I won't tell you for sure!  Anyways, if you like falling asleep go see City in Colour!!  It was the most boring thing I have ever seen!  One of the opening bands (Sleepercar) made City and Colour look like a horrible 12 year old garage band who have been taking music lessons for 2 weeks.  Dallas Green should not have had them open, they made him look bad!  The same thing happened when I saw The Dismemberment Plan open for Hot Hot Heat.

For all you City and Colour lovers who ignored the disclaimer above,  I am sorry, but i am sure you think some of the bands I like are horrible, it is all personal opinions.  I actually don't mind Alexis on Fire if that makes you feel better.

15 and counting.

It isn't easy for me to post this online where everyone can see, but I really think it is necessary.  I know that many of you may look down on me, but really, it isn't like you all have something about your body you would change.  Girls, perhaps you have a bit of a mustache or hairlip.  Guys,  you may have small feet or may be an ugly bald.  I really don't know.  One thing I do know is that I have been getting a crazy amount of stretch marks on my love handles and around my belly button... about 15 of them.  If I had 4 minutes to save the world, I couldn't do it because I am too fat to do anything about it.  So now since summer is here I am going to become He-man!!  I feel the motivation I need has arrived and there ain't no stopping me.  I am going to do a before and I sure hope an after shot.  So keep posted!!!  I am going to be one ripped sexy red head.

Wake up Mr. West

So the show was good last night.  Ended up with row 5 on the floor which was crazy good.  Lupe started off the show doing his thing.  NERD followed and they rocked the house.  They played a song off their new album and just rocked out. Chris Brown showed up on stage and danced with NERD.  Apparently he can dance.  He got crump!  NERD gave of crazy energy and really brought the crowd into it.

Rihanna was Rihanna.  

Kanye was crazy.  The set was crazy.  It was such a show. So much time and effort went into it.  Definitely one of the best shows I have seen!

So Kanye performs tonight and all I know is that I am guaranteed the first 20 rows on the floor.  With that said, we called and bugged the promoters who we got the tickets from and they said not to worry.... we are very close.  I am really hoping row 1 but we'll see.  Ticketmaster released new seats about a month ago starting at row 6 so my guess is that we are closer than that.  

All this hype around that Janet and Chris Brown were at the show last night.  Lets hope Janet sings American Boy with Kanye, otherwise who cares.  

If I were Brangelina...

Why would Brad and Angelina buy a $60 million house in France when they could buy a condo for 1/60th of that here in Saskatoon?  The Rumley Building is going to have some of the nicest condos here in Saskatoon if not the nicest.  The prices range from around the $500,000 mark to $1,000,000.  The largest comes in at about 2,400 sq!

The beginning of the baddest moped gang ever!!

Saturday was a good day.  Went cruising moped style.  As cool as me and Davey House looked rolling downtown on our speed demons, we still got laughed at by a 350 pound lady walking down the street.  Other than that, my self-esteem is still solid.  Took a couple of pictures riding the mopeds but they are on film.  Here are a couple pics from Restaurant 224.

It is golfing season... even though I barely golf

So I went to Golf Town and did a little sample of some new hot drivers.

I tried out Big Bertha, King Cobra, Ping, Taylor Made, and Nike.  

I figured I would destroy that ball with one of the more known golf companies drivers, but no!!  The Nike driver called the Sasquatch Sumo Driver was beautiful.  I hit that ball over 300 yards.  My brother came too and also ended up going with the same driver.  He was hitting that thing close the 350!!

I never thought that I would have any posts about toilets on my page but after this one, I will have 2.  Anyways, this website it pretty funny.  It is called www.washlet.com. They are intense toilet seats.

A dog may have to do.

Marriage is looking like it may be something that is not in the near future.  oh girls!!  So as of right now, rather that one of these....

I may have to make the call and get one of these...

I have to spend my spare time and money on something so why not a dog?  I have been thinking about getting a Portuguese water dog (above) for a while now.  I may just have to dive in.  Click here to read more about them.

M83 came out with a new album not too long ago called Saturdays = Youth.  You know... it is pretty good.  Download it or at least down load the song You Appearing.  It is amazing. 

Cruising

I finally got myself a beach cruiser.  It is made by the company Giant and is their Simple series.  I went cruising around down by the river and took some photos with my new camera which I will post soon.  Check out my new bike.

I have decided that the Saskatoon summer sun is some of the most dangerous sun.  I spent about 3 hours in the sun and I am a tomato.

I have decided that I am not going to be blogging on weekends.  I think it is supposed to be done during the week.

I really dont know how any of it works... but if you Googled "Blog Streets Back"  a few days ago, you would have NEVER found this blog in the results.  A couple days ago Blog Streets Back was maybe 30th on the results..... and today..... #1.  Yeah, you know it!!  Try for yourself!

So we got your snake skin and alligator skin bathroom fixtures.  These apparently bring "wild natural beauty to the home".

Next is the Herbeau "Dagobert" toilet throne.  When you lift the seat on this crapper some man starts to recite a Musset poem. This thing is $10,000.  I am sure you spend a few good years on the toilet in a lifetime... but come on.

This last one I actually like.  It is the Julien Bench Toilet.

This home is crazy!!

New York architects Axis Mundi.  This is concept home in Vermont USA called Verticle House.  Designed in 2005, it is to sit on the side of a hill with a bridge leading into the home and a viewing platform on the other side.  The top of the home is an outside garden which was created so vines would grow down and around the house to give a modern ruin look.
